This is an excellent book on writing very good if not great essays. It begins with an introduction to essays: what an essay is made up of and the different kinds of essays. It then goes on to discuss narrative, cause-effective and argumentative essays, the three types of essays we often encounter. For each of these types, the book gives very practical instructions on how the essay could be done from beginning to end. One can actually learn how to write an essay or improve on essay writing following the suggestions in the book. The appendices, too, are very useful.
I highly recommend Great essays to our students in form six and seven.
